Beginnings (2003-2006).
In 2003, Kardashian worked as a stylist for Brandy, the sister to Ray J. Sonja Norwood, the mother of the siblings and manager, claimed that Kardashian had been authorized to make “one and one” purchases on her American Express card in 2004 and that Kardashian, her sisters Khloe, and Kourtney, had incurred more than $120,000 in unauthorized charges to that card.
Norwood claimed that Kardashian’s family-owned boutique was responsible for the majority of the charges. Kardashian had been fired by Norwood in 2007. Norwood also claimed that she didn’t file criminal charges against Kardashian at her request.
Instead, she presented her allegations to Kardashian personally. Kardashian then apologized and promised to repay her debt. Norwood filed a lawsuit in 2008 after no payments were received. Kardashian denied all of these allegations. According to reports, Kardashian denied all allegations.
Kardashian began working as a stylist in 2006 for Paris Hilton, a childhood friend. In several episodes of The Simple Life, Kardashian was a stylist and was often photographed with Hilton at events and parties.

The suit was dropped by Kardashian and she settled for an estimated US$5million, which allowed Vivid to release her tape.
She and her family were later criticised by several media outlets for using the release of the sex tape as a publicity stunt in order to promote their upcoming reality show. Kardashian began appearing in the reality TV series Keeping Up with the Kardashians with her mother Kris Jenner, her stepfather Caitlyn Jenner and her siblings Khloe and Kourtney Jenner.
Half-sisters Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner also joined the cast. E! was pleased with the series’ success and created several spin-offs including Kourtney, Kim Take New York, Kourtney, and Kim Take Miami. After 294 episodes, the flagship series ended in 2021.
Kardashian was featured in a nude pictorial in the December 2007 issue. In the Disaster Movie (2008) spoof Disaster Movie (2008), she made her feature film film debut opposite Carmen Electra. She played the role of Lisa.

She was third to be eliminated. Fusion Beauty and Seven Bar Foundation launched “Kiss Away Poverty” in September 2009. Kardashian was the campaign’s face. Each LipFusion lipgloss sold went to the Foundation to support women entrepreneurs in America.

There is one song Kardashian did for Kim Take New York and one video Hype Williams directed. Half of the proceeds will be donated to a cancer foundation because one of my parents and The-Dream died from cancer. It’s all about having fun and supporting a good cause.
Jim Farber, who wrote for the Daily News, described the song as a “dead-brained bit of generic dance music without any distinguishing features” and said that Kardashian was the “worst performer in reality TV”.
In 2010, Kardashian was also a producer on The Spin Crowd. This reality TV show is about a New York City PR firm run by Jonathan Cheban, Simon Huck and Khloe. According to the International Business Times, Kardashian’s 2010 earnings were $6 million.
Continued exposure (2011-2016)
Kardashian, together with her sisters Kourtney, and Khloe, released “Gold”, her third fragrance. E! was founded in 2012. Tyler Perry directed and produced Temptation: Confessions Of a Marriage Counselor (2013). Kardashian played the role of a co-worker to an ambitious therapist. The film had a modest box office success with a worldwide gross exceeding US$53.1million. However, the critical reaction was not positive and Kardashian was awarded the Razzie Award as Worst Supporting Actress.

Kim Kardashian: Hollywood was released by Kardashian in June 2014. The game’s objective is to make it big or small in Hollywood. The game supports a free-to-play model. This means that the game can be downloaded for free, but you will need to pay for in-game items. The game was a huge success, with US$1.6million being earned in the first five days. Developer Glu Mobile revealed that the game was the fifth-highest earning game in Apple’s App Store. In the September 21st 2014 episode of American Dad!, she voiced an alien.
Jean-Paul Goude photographed Kardashian on the cover of Paper’s Winter 2014 issue. The cover features her nude buttocks above the caption “Break the Internet”. This caused a lot of attention on social media and traditional media.
Time magazine’s writer said that Kardashian’s nude was not like previous stars’, which represented women’s rebellion against oppression and “trying” to tear down barriers. Instead, it was “just provocation and bluster, repeated pictures that appear to offer some kind of truth or insight, but are actually just self-serving.” There isn’t. We long for more.

In addition, Kimoji, an iOS emoji pack, was released that year. It was a huge success and became one of the top five most downloaded apps within its first week.
According to interviews with celebrity endorsement specialists and CBC Marketplace, Kardashian had reportedly been paid at least US$300,000. For each post she made on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, Kardashian was endorsed beauty products such as waist trainers and teeth whiteners.
Business Insider later reported that her fee was approximately US$720,000 for each Instagram post. Although engagement data suggests that her posts are less valuable, her regular news features allow her to demand a premium over any Instagram sponsored post price.
Businesses (2017-present).
Kourtney and Khloe were her sisters who launched Dash, a fashion boutique chain that opened its first store in Calabasas (California). It was in operation from 2006 to 2018.
KKW Beauty was launched in 2017, and KKW Fragrance was launched in 2017. In Ocean’s 8, a heist film, Kardashian made a brief appearance. It was released June 8, 2018.
Kimono, a new line of shapewear that Kardashian announced in June 2019, was widely criticized for its name. Critics argued it disrespected Japanese culture and neglected the importance of the traditional Kimono outfit.
The hashtag #KimOhNo became a trending topic on Twitter after the range was launched. In response, the mayor of Kyoto wrote Kardashian asking her to reconsider Kimono’s trademark. She announced that she would change her name in response to public pressure.
Hiroshige, the Japanese trade minister, stated that he would continue to dispatch patent officials to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and that Japan would be keeping an eye on the situation. She changed the name of the shapewear company to Skims in August 2019.
The official launch was the next month via its own digital store. subsequently made available online at various websites, including the online shops of SSENSE and David Jones, Net-a-Porter and Ounass.
Skims products became available for purchase at Nordstrom’s US stores in February 2020 through a retail partnership. The company also offers lingerie, bodysuits and loungewear as well as dresses and winterwear.
Skims opened pop-up shops in Asia, Europe, and the United States since 2021. Kardashian announced in June 2021 that the brand had entered into a partnership agreement with the US Olympics team. The company would supply undergarments, loungewear, and pajamas with American flags and the Olympics rings printed with Team USA branding to the female athletes of the 2020 Summer Olympics.
In collaboration with the United States’ Winter Olympics delegation, the athletes also wore Skims clothing to the 2022 Winter Olympics. They were also featured in the brand campaign for the capsule collection. Fendi, a luxury fashion house, released a capsule collection with Skims in November 2021.

Kardashian hosted Saturday Night Live October 2021. In her monologue she mocked Kanye West, her mother’s ex husband Caitlyn Jenner and her sisters O. J. Simpson.
In a class action lawsuit against EthereumMax, which alleged that the company was a pump-and-dump scheme, Kardashian was named as one of the defendants along with Floyd Mayweather Jr., Paul Pierce and other celebrities who promoted the EthereumMax token via their social media accounts.
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission announced in October 2022 that Kardashian agreed to pay $1.26 million to stop cryptocurrency assets from being promoted for three years and to cooperate with an ongoing probe without admitting or denial of wrongdoing. Kardashian was accused of failing to report a $250,000 payment for promoting the EthereumMax token.

Kardashian, then 19, married Damon Thomas in 2000. Thomas filed for divorce on March 3, 2003. Kardashian later blamed Thomas’s abuse of his emotions and physical abuse. She claimed she was high on ecstasy during her wedding. Kardashian was previously in a relationship with Ray J.
Kardashian got engaged to Kris Humphries (then of the New Jersey Nets), in May 2011. They had been together since October 2010. On August 20, they were married in Montecito (California). She had earlier that month released “Kim Kardashian Love”, her “wedding perfume”, which was in time for her own wedding. E aired a two-part TV special that showed the preparations for the wedding and the actual ceremony.
The Washington Post described it as a media blitz that surrounded the wedding in October 2011. She filed for divorce from Humphries after 72 days of marriage on October 31. The reason? Irreconcilable differences.
Many news outlets speculated that Kardashian’s marriage with Humphries was just a publicity stunt to promote their brand and subsequent television ventures. Jonathan Jaxson, a man who claimed to be Kardashian’s former publicist, claimed that the short-lived marriage was a staged ploy to make money.
Kardashian sued Jaxson, claiming that his claims were false. Jaxson settled the case, which included Jaxson’s apology. Following the split, a petition was circulated asking for the removal of all Kardashian-related programming. Media attention was widespread on the divorce.
Kardashian started dating Kanye West, a long-time friend and rapper, in April 2012. She was still legally married to Humphries. Kardashian and West were divorced on June 3, 2013. They became engaged October 21st, 2013, on Kardashian’s 33rd Birthday. West was then married in Florence on May 24, 2014.
Riccardo Tisci, of Givenchy, designed her wedding dress. Some of the guests’ gowns were designed by Michael Costello. Their high status and careers have made their relationship a focal point of media attention. The New York Times described their marriage as “a historic snowstorm of celebrity”.
CNN reported in January 2021 that the couple was discussing divorce. Kardashian filed for divorce on February 19, 2021. They both agreed in court to end their marriage because of “irreconcilable disagreements” in April 2021. They also agreed to share custody of their four children.
They both agreed to not need spousal support. Kardashian filed a complaint with the Los Angeles Superior Court in February 2022. He claimed that West wanted to delay the proceedings and that West had tried to delay them. Kardashian also stated that West’s actions showed that he did not accept the end of their marital relationship. Kardashian was legally declared single on March 2, 2022.
In November 2021, Kardashian started dating comedian and actor Pete Davidson. They ended their relationship in August 2022.
Kim Kardashian Religion
Kim Kardashian is a Christian. She has called herself “really religious.” She attended Christian schools in both Roman Catholic and Presbyterian traditions. She was baptized at the Etchmiadzin Cathedral baptistery in October 2019 and given the Armenian title Heghine (Heghine).
Kardashian and West visited the Armenian Quarter in Jerusalem in April 2015 to have their daughter North baptized at the Armenian Apostolic Church. This church is one of the oldest denominations in Oriental Orthodox Christianity. The Cathedral of St. James was the venue for the ceremony.
Khloe Kardashian was named North’s godmother. Kim baptized her children, her three youngest ones, at the Etchmiadzin cathedral complex in October 2019. This is Armenia’s mother church. Psalm received the Armenian name Vardan; Chicago received Ashkhen, and Saint received Grigor.
Kim Kardashian Pregnancies and health
Kardashian and West have four children. They have daughter North (born June 15, 2013,), son Saint, born December 5, 2015, daughter Chicago (born January 15, 2018, and son Psalm, (born May 9, 2019,).
Kardashian has spoken out about her difficulties in her first and second pregnancies. Pre-eclampsia was something she experienced in her first pregnancy, and it forced her to give birth at 34 weeks. After both pregnancies, she experienced placenta accreta. She eventually had to have surgery to remove the scar tissue and placenta. Doctors advised her to not get pregnant again after her second pregnancy. Surrogacy was her method of birthing her third and fourth children. Kardashian also spoke out about her psoriasis.
Kardashian was reported to have tested positive for COVID-19 on May 20, 211. This was confirmed by Kardashian. However, she denied that she contracted the disease at a party on a private island.

Kardashian’s estimated net worth was US$45 million in May 2014. Forbes reported in 2015 that Kardashian had “made more than ever this year as her earnings nearly doubled at $53 million to 2014’s $28million”, and that she has “monetized fame better then any other”.
Her income comes mainly from wholesale earnings of the Sears brand, the Kardashian Kollection which brought in $600million in 2013, and Kardashian Beauty cosmetics line. Kardashian-branded tanning products are also included as well as sponsored social posts that collectively amount to $300,000-500,000. Kardashian’s net worth was US$350 million as of July 2018. Kardashian has not received alimony payments since her first marriage. Forbes put Kardashian’s net worth to be US$1 Billion on April 6, 2021.
Paris robbery
Kardashian was at Paris Fashion Week on October 2, 2016 when she was robbed in her apartment. Five men dressed as police officers bound and gagged Kardashian, and then took $10 million in jewelry. They threatened the concierge to get into her home.
They took control of Kardashian’s bedroom and tied her wrists, legs, and mouth with duct tape. Kardashian was reportedly begging for her life after being placed in the tub. She was able to free her hands from the plastic ties that were around her wrists, and then screamed for help.
They fled. The thieves escaped. On October 6, 2016, it was revealed the filming of the next season on Keeping up with the Kardashians had been put “on hold indefinitely” following the robbery.
Many critics were skeptical about the staged robbery, some even comparing it to Ryan Lochte’s false robbery claim. A video of Kardashian following the robbery was released on October 10, 2016. This was as police began their investigation.
The video shows Kardashian using the phone she reported as stolen. She also doesn’t have the markings that her captors claimed she had.
This raises more questions about whether the events were staged. Kardashian sued several media outlets and obtained a gag order to remove the video from any articles. The video was part of an ongoing police investigation. Kardashian dropped the lawsuit on October 25, 2016. This prompted more criticism of Kardashian’s ploy to get media attention. On October 26, production resumed on Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
French police arrested 17 people of interest on January 9, 2017 to question them in relation to the robbery case. In 2017, 16 individuals were arrested for their alleged involvement. In 2020, it was revealed that 12 of the suspects would be brought before French prosecutors.
The ‘Grandpa Robbers,’ the name given to the suspects for entering Kardashian’s room, were either senior citizens or close to it. The suspects were still being tried in 2021. At least one of those who entered Kardashian’s bedroom reportedly agreed to plead not guilty to the charges.
Activism
In an interview with Caity Weber of GQ, Kardashian stated that she was a Democrat and supported Hillary Clinton in the 2016 U.S. Presidential election.
She tweeted a table of statistics in January 2017 that went viral. It highlighted statistics showing that gun violence in America kills 11,737 people per year, while terrorist acts in the United States kill 14 each year. The Royal Statistical Society announced its 2017 “International Statistic of the Year” in December 2017. She and her husband met President Yoweri Mugabe on a October 2018 trip to Uganda.
Kanye spoke about Ugandan tourism at a press conference. Due to Museveni’s dictatorial tendencies and recent crackdown on opposition members, they were criticised for meeting him.
Vogue reported in April 2019 that Kardashian was studying for the bar exam. Instead of going to law school, she was “reading law”. Kardashian claimed that she failed her first-year baby bar law exam in 2021. She performed “slightly worse than” her first attempt. She passed the “babybar” law exam in December 2021 on her fourth attempt.
Kardashian, who condemned Azerbaijan’s actions in 2020 Nagorno Karabakh conflict, expressed support for Armenia and Republic of Artsakh. Kardashian was reported to have met with Leeds United F.C., an English soccer club. Financial support had been provided to female Afghan soccer players by Leeds United F.C. After the Taliban tookover of Afghanistan, the women and girls fled Afghanistan but ended up in Pakistan.
Kardashian also donated to GoFundMe private causes, particularly for people who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. She donated $3,000 in September 2021 to a mother-of-four who had lost her husband due to COVID-19, and was about to lose her home.
Armenian genocide recognition

Kardashian expressed pride in her Armenian-Scottish heritage. Kardashian is not a citizen of Armenia or the United Kingdom, and she does not speak Armenian.
On numerous occasions, she has called for recognition of the Armenian Genocide and encouraged President Barack Obama to do so. Kardashian published an article on her website in April 2016 condemning The Wall Street Journal’s advertisement by FactCheckArmenia.com that denied the Armenian Genocide.
Kardashian wrote to President Joe Biden in April 2021 thanking him for officially recognizing the Armenian Genocide.
Kardashian, her husband and Khloe, her sister, traveled to Armenia in April 2015. They visited Tsitsernakaberd, a memorial for the Armenian Genocide. Kardashian donated $1 million to Armenia Fund on October 10, 2020. This humanitarian organization supports Armenia’s development.
Clemency and prison reform advocacy
Kardashian worked in prison reform and advocated for the commutation or dismissal of Chris Young’s sentence. In June 2018, President Donald Trump granted this commutation. She was instrumental in convincing President Trump to support The First Step Act.
This law enacted significant reforms in the US prison systems. Van Jones stated later that the act would not have passed if Kardashian had not been there to support it. Later, it was passed by a large majority of the US Senate.
Kardashian funded the 90 Days to Freedom campaign in 2019. This initiative was to free nonviolent drug offenders who were sentenced to life imprisonment by Brittany K. Barnett (and MiAngel Cody). 17 people were released under the First Step Act.
The campaign’s success was widely reported by media.
