The Government of Mexico has issued several warnings and watches due to Hurricane Beryl. The affected areas include the Yucatan Peninsula, with specific warnings as follows:

  • Hurricane Warning: From Puerto Costa Maya to Cancun.
  • Tropical Storm Warning: South of Puerto Costa Maya to Chetumal.
  • Tropical Storm Warning and Hurricane Watch: North of Cancun to Cabo Catoche.
  • Tropical Storm Watch: West of Cabo Catoche to Campeche.

Consular Agency Closures: The U.S. Consular Agencies in Cancun and Playa del Carmen will be closed on Friday, July 5, 2024, due to Hurricane Beryl. Passport and notarial services will not be available. The agencies are expected to reopen on July 8, 2024.
